Advance Adapter
The Jeep / Scout Dana 20 were indexed to the transmission case by either a retainer housing or an index hub which was part of the stock transmission case. These transfer cases are classified as a large hole transfer cases, which measures 4” in diameter. Our adapters require this indexing retainer to obtain proper alignment. When utilizing this retainer a sealed 307 bearing (p/n 716302) must be used and is sold separately.
Note:Some Dana 18’s have a 4” diameter hole. They were generally found in the 1966-71 model Jeeps with the Buick 255 & T-14 or T-86 transmissions.
