The back side of these V-band flanges feature a recessed lip to help center your aluminum tubing to the flange. This recess matches the ID of your 16 gauge tubing and allows for unrestricted flow. HPS aluminum V-band flanges are made of 6061 aluminum and utilize an NBR O-ring to create an air-tight seal for positive pressure applications. This product is ideal for intercooler piping systems as well as intake systems.
