Dorman Steering Column Lock Actuator

Our electronic steering column lock actuator is part of the vehicle's Smart Key System. The original unit typically requires replacement due to worn gear teeth and the inability to start and release the steering lock. Our OE FIX returns the vehicle to proper working condition by upgrading the gear material for increased durability and a longer service life. Additionally, the updated software adjusts the gear speed to minimize gear teeth wear in the future.
