All the excess strap auto-retracts back into the barrel, so you don't have to deal with any more messy or tangled tie-downs. Each tie down has up to 43" of strap so that you can reach the eyelets on the back of almost any size vessel. Press the red auto-retract button and any extra slack instantly retracts back into the barrel. Then use the rubberized handle to ratchet down the tie-down to get it tight - securing your vessel to the trailer. Once you're ready to launch the boat - simply release the lever, un-hook, and press the red button again to retract the strap back into the ratchet and out of the way. No more dealing with the hassle of wrestling with tangled straps. Now you can enjoy more time out on the water! These retractable tie-downs can be easily mounted to your trailer frame with our supplied hardware, making them essentially self-storing.
