The FST acts as a buffer volume, maintained by the vehicle’s main lift pump and fuel returning from the pressure regulator, ensuring the engine is always supplied with fuel during high-G cornering or acceleration.

"Dead End" System Benefits

This system utilizes a "dead end" plumbing configuration, meaning fuel does not return from the engine rail. Instead, the regulator recirculates fuel internally within the surge tank, and excess fuel is returned to the vehicle's main tank.
