Gasoline is what fuels us - literally and figuratively. Depending on whether you have a SuperCab or SuperCrew, the fuel tank on the Raptor holds either 26 or 36 gallons of fuel, which means that it is quite large. In fact, its so large that it takes up 6 feet of space under your truck, and the only protection provided by the factory is a thin plastic shield. Not only is the fuel tank a vulnerable part on the underside of your Raptor, its also a costly repair if it gets damaged. Protect your fuel tank and your wallet with the Borne Off-Road Fuel Tank Skid Plate. Designed to be tough as nails, the Borne Off-Road Fuel Tank Skid Plate is constructed from 5/32-inch plate steel and is ready to take whatever abuse you can to throw at it. All mounting points are recessed to provide a smooth bottom surface. This eliminates the potential to shear off or get hardware caught on obstacles. They also utilize existing mounting points, so you dont need to drill or tap to install. All corners and edges are bent at 80-degrees and reinforced to provide even greater strength. To ensure a long-lasting and durable finish, they are first electroplated via electro-galvanization and then powdercoated black. Designed to be direct-fit and including all hardware, install should take less than an hour with basic hand tools. All skid plates are available for purchase individually, or for more protection, check out the Borne Off-Road Powertrain Skid Plate Kit. For the ultimate undercarriage protection, check out the Borne Off-Road Complete Skid Plate Kit. As with all our products, this skid plate comes with our signature Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.
