The most important component of the ignition system, Hitachi's genuine OE igniter is designed to meet all OE specifications regarding voltage output, response times and compactness. Utilizing proper turns ratios, low resistance copper wiring and temperature resistant epoxy, the Hitachi igniter efficiently converts the 12 volts of power coming from the vehicle's battery to 20 kV or more depending on the application. Being able to amplify the power in a quick and efficient manner allows the engine to operate more efficiently, reducing emissions, increasing fuel economy and increasing power.
