A valve used to recirculate small amounts of exhaust back into the combustion chambers of the engine in order to decrease the combustion temperature, thereby reducing the formation of smog-producing nitrogen oxides. (522-020) by GB
An essential part of the emissions system, the EGR valve recirculates exhaust gases to be reburned which reduces combustion temperatures resulting in a reduction of oxides of nitrogen emissions. Failure of this component can result in check engine light and increased emissions. New EGR valve is manufactured to meet or exceed OE performance specifications.
Includes gasket to ensure proper sealing between EGR valve and intake manifold.
