Read the shipping policy3M™ Scotchkote™ FD Electrical Coatings are designed to be used with Scotch® Vinyl Electrical Tapes. After taping splices with Scotch® Vinyl Electrical Tape, apply Electrical Coating FD (Fast Drying) evenly over splice, extending a short distance onto the cable insulation. Be sure the surface is clean, dry and free from oil or grease before applying coating.

These Electrical Coatings are intended for use as an outer seal on vinyl-tape applications which are subjected to excessive amounts of water or oil. They are designed to improve the weather resistance of the taped joint of splice. These products are suitable for direct burial, direct water immersion or above ground applications.
