Performer-RPM camshaft #2204 is designed for optimum torque from the low-end to the mid-range, Performer-Plus camshafts match with Performer manifolds for vehicles operating from off-idle to 5500 rpm. They are smooth idling cams for daily drivers, trucks, vans, RVs and 4x4s. You can expect a major improvement in throttle response and torque. In the manifold section you'll find torque graphs showing the power gains from Performer manifolds and Performer-Plus cams. All camshafts include flat tappet lifters (except for cams designed for use with stock roller lifters), assembly lube and instructions:

• Make sure the vehicle is on level ground and supported properly. Drain engine oil and coolant, storing them inappropriate containers or disposing of them properly.
• After getting access to the front of the engine, remove the serpentine accessory drive belt.
• Remove the water pump.
• Remove the distributor.
• Loosen the oil pan bolts enough to pull the oil pan away from the engine slightly to provide clearance for removing the timing cover.
• Remove the intake manifold and the oil pump drive shaft bolt and assembly.
• Remove the valve covers, remove the rocker arm nuts and pivot balls.
• Rotate the engine so that the timing marks on the timing chain are in line.
• Remove the camshaft retaining plate and carefully remove the camshaft.
• There is a pin that puts the distributor in proper time that is inserted into the camshaft.
• Liberally coat the new Performer-Plus camshaft journals and lobes with clean engine oil.
• Replace the camshaft retaining plate and tighten the bolts to the factory specification.
• Replace the timing chain and camshaft sprocket.
• Coat the lifters with clean engine oil.
• Install the pushrods and rocker arms.
• Install the valve covers.
