Earl's Oil Thermostat - Billet

To ensure quick warm up under cold weather conditions, use our oil-stat. This uniquely designed product controls oil temperature like a thermostat controls water temperature in a radiator. The three 1/8" NPT sensor ports allow monitoring of oil temperature, flow and pressure. Designed for passenger car, marine and truck usage with Earls TEMP-A-CURE oil coolers.

Stomping on the accelerator while the engine is still cold with a sticky bypass valve on your engine can combine to create pressure spike far exceeding 350psi. If you can't break the 'throttle stomping while the engine is still cold' habit, you should install a check valve (FCV) and a thermostat (P/N 501ERL) in your oil system.
