 These extended rear top mounts (hats) for the Z33 chassis are designed to convert to an upper bearing type mount, and allow maximum compression stroke in the process. This compact, lightweight package is designed to eliminate bushing compliance and give you the control you need in the rear of your modified Z. It also uses a raised design to free up as much compression stroke as possible so that long shock bodies won't bottom out on lowered cars. These hats can limit droop and free up as much as 7/8" of compression stroke over stock, or sleeves can be flipped to restore stock dimensions.

Stock mounts are a rubber bushing setup, which allows lots of deflection under high loads. This is great for ride comfort and noise, but not ideal for controlling a high spring rate in aggressive driving conditions. As spring rates, and therefore dampening forces go up, the damper can't effectively do its job because the top of the shaft is not mounted securely. This kit eliminates bushing deflection and raises the stock mounting point to allow more compression stroke on lowered cars.

Note: This hat uses an inverted bearing carrier design and is not recommended for use with a coilover (spring over shock) conversion!
