Brosol Mechanical Fuel Pump

Mechanical fuel pumps most commonly used on carbureted engines, and is typically mounted at the front of the engine. A mechanical style fuel pump is actuated by the motion of the crankshaft or camshaft (depending on the mounting location), and positively displaces a small volume of fuel by way of a diaphragm or small piston which is then sent to the carburetor. All of this is done under low pressure, and the flow is regulated by a check valve.
