Blue Streak Ignition Coil FD-478
An induction coil, used with a distributor for timing, to transform a vehicles battery voltage to a much higher voltage needed to create proper spark for all spark plugs of an engine. (FD-478) by Blue Streak
100% pure copper windings in primary and secondary bobbins improve durability and provide higher resistance to internal shorts and dielectric breakdown. Thermoplastic housing withstands heat stress for enhanced durability. External core made from oriented silicon steel ensures durability and longevity. Stainless steel spring resists corrosion. Tin-plated brass terminals improve electrical contact and protect against corrosion. High-dielectric epoxy injected into case and pulled into vacuum to eliminate air pockets and prevent moisture intrusion or thermal breakdown.
