A 1.12 mm closed-cell acrylic foam core is ½” wide and delivers strength, conformability and excellent stress relaxation. Our high performance acrylic adhesive is applied to both sides, resists plasticizers and delivers high peel and shear adhesion.

A Truly Versatile Tape for Attaching Automotive Trim and Moldings
Featuring a medium density, white closed-cell acrylic foam core, our 3M™ Automotive Attachment Tape 06380(PDF, 309 Kb) is ideal for permanent attachment of automotive components including cladding, bumper trim and rocker panel moldings to traditional auto paint systems. The core of this OEM-approved attachment tape provides a blend of strength and conformability. At 1.12 mm thick, it features viscoelastic properties that allow it to elongate and relax when put under load, minimizing stress on the adhesive bond line and maintaining a permanent, reliable bond. A durable acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive is applied to both sides of the foam core, and delivers high peel performance and shear strength as well as resistance to plasticizers. The 1/2" tape width makes it suitable for applying a versatile range of components. A red 3M-branded liner provides easy one-piece release for efficient application.
