Arnott Industries Shock Absorber MR-3857
A shock absorber is a device that controls the spring oscillations when the vehicle goes over various road irregularities, so the vehicle's tires remain in contact with the road. In some cases, shock absorbers have a secondary function as a suspension limiter to prevent the suspension from either over-extending and/or over-compressing. (MR-3857) by Arnott Industries
MR-3857 is an OES front magnetic shock for the 2009-2015 Audi TT and the 2012-2013 TT RS (8J). This universal shock fits both the right and the left side of the Audi TT/TTS. The magnetically controlled shock from Arnott provides the same highly adaptive ride as the OE. The monotube damper is filled with magnetorheological fluid which is a syntheric hydrocarbon oil that contains easily magnetized iron particles. The two electromagnetic coils inside the damper instantly change the bonds between the magnetized iron particles altering the viscosity and stiffness of the suspension when turned on. Arnott's new universal magentic ride Audi front shock fits the left or right side and connects to the vehicles ECU with no modifications.
