This is a high-grade lightweight titanium system, with an option of round or hexagonal carbon-fibre and titanium tailpipes (the choice of one is mandatory). Complex parts, such as the X-connection and specially designed collectors, are cast at the in-house titanium foundry. The exhaust system has no exhaust valves, and the main exhaust tubes have an increased diameter. Alongside acoustic reflectors on the tailpipes, a special resonator, and the X-connection, which allows gases from both sides of the engine to mix, these elements create a refined Akrapovic sound experience in all drive modes, delivering a deep and sporty tone. An additional damping element is added to the link pipe, which enhances the sound quality and comfort of The Akrapovic exhaust, while offering a unique sound experience. Power gains of 8.5 kW (11.5 hp) at 6,150 rpm and torque increases of 15.6 Nm at 2,550 rpm have been recorded when tested on The Akrapovic dyno against a BMW M5 with a standard stock exhaust. This exhaust system is 41.1% (15.44 kg) lighter than the standard stock version.It has been developed for cars without gasoline particulate filters. The installation is a simple plug-and-play operation, with no remapping needed.Notice: Performance tests were made with OPF vehicle.
