The FAE product range includes Oxygen Sensors made of Zirconia with narrow band responses and Titania Oxygen Sensors with narrow band response. Exhaust Gas Pressure Sensor is another element in the pollution regulation systems for Diesel engines. MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor, an absolute pressure of admission, detects the air pressure at the inlet of the vehicle and turns it into an electrical signal which is sent to the engine’s electronic control unit (ECU) in order to regulate the stoichiometric mixture. Revolution, Crankshaft or Camshaft Position Sensors are usually located on a gear wheel (phonic wheel), disks consisting of sectorized windows or rings of ferromagnetic material. These sensors detect magnetic flux variations which are produced by the alternation between the presence and absence of the teeth of the gear wheel, or the cam relief. Knock Sensors prevents from a harmful spontaneous ignition resulting in the knocking effect. Temperature Sensors of the vehicle are components that play an important role in controlling emissions and fuel consumption. Together with other sensors, the reading makes the ECU parameterize the conditions of the injection system.

The Ignition Coil is an electromagnetic induction device, or inductor, that forms part of an Otto or Wankel cycle alternative internal combustion engine’s ignition. It performs the function of raising the normal onboard voltage (6V, 12V or 24V, depending on each case) by a value approximately 1,000 times greater in order to create the electric arc or spark in the spark plug, which allows for ignition of the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. Thermostats function is to control the flow of coolant that passes through the radiator, depending on the engine temperature.
