How to Change Steering Wheels from a Quick Release

A quick overview on how to install a Sparco steering wheel on a MX-5 Miata Cup Car. The wheel will be installed on a works bell hub.

Step 1

Remove the quick release from the vehicle and set down on a flat table.

Once you have everything ready, start to unbolt the steering wheel bolts with the 3mm Allen Wrench.

There are 6 bolts in total, make sure to keep track of the bolts when removed.

Remove the wheel from the quick release and set the wheel aside.

Line up the top marker of the quick release to be on top of the new steering wheel to make sure its straight.

Add Screws and tighten them to a snug tight. But not too tight.

Lastly, install the horn button and the sticker that is provided with the wheel.

Then snap the wheel into the car and enjoy!

You have no upgraded your steering wheel. Time for a drive and enjoy!
