Almost all tie rod ends on the market that use rose joints are NOT using high misalignment bearings and wear out in no time at all. OEM type tie rod ends provide around 60 degrees of misalignment and it is critical that around this level of misalignment is kept.

Another common issue with most aftermarket style tie rod ends is that there is no protection from dust and dirt. We've developed dust boots specifically to suit the PCYML10T rose joints that we use in our kit. It's also pretty common for shanks to bend under high loads, our shanks have a tensile strength of 176ksi (class 12.9)

Bump steer correction is altered through the use of 5mm shims.

- Corrects bump steer up to 25mm
- Uses high quality PTFE lined 1 5/8" high misalignment rose joints
- Dust boots included

What Is Bump Steer?
Bump steer is the unwanted change in wheel toe angle that happens when your suspension compresses over a bump. In simple terms, the wheels turn slightly inward or outward on their own.

It’s caused by suspension geometry, specifically the relationship between the tie rod and lower control arm on a lowered vehicle. Excessive bump steer makes a car unpredictable and unstable, especially over uneven surfaces or during high-speed driving. It also leads to uneven tire wear and reduced steering precision.

You can correct bump steer by adjusting the tie rod pickup point using an adjustable outer tie rod kit with shims or spacers. For example, on the GT86 chassis, using a GKTECH kit and a 5 mm lower tie rod position almost completely removes bump steer, improving handling and safety.

For more information: Check out this blog post on mastering bump steer!

NOTE: These tie rod ends are only to suit OEM knuckles or knuckles that use an OEM taper.

NOTE#2: If you have the Gktech Super lock R/Z chassis knuckles these tie rod ends will not fit.
You would need these: HIGH MISALIGNMENT S13 240SX/S14/S15/SKYLINE TIE ROD ENDS (12MM/14MM).
