Nismo 54480-RSS30 Power Brace RPS13 S13 Chassis
This Nismo Power Brace is designed to strengthen the chassis and improve transient response by connecting the tension rod brackets. The power brace reduces movement of the tension and control arms during hard cornering. When installed, handling and steering will improve and it is legal for SCCA Solo, IT, or Production racing. Replacing the tension rod is recommended when upgrading to the power brace since the tension rod connects to the power brace. A very popular and highly effective suspension upgrade. Once it's on, you will definitely notice the difference!

Warning, Do not torque to the specs listed in the supplied instructions! The torques they have listed are for s14. I ended up stripping the third bolt I tightened as well as the threads into the frame rail and had to tap it to m12. What should have been an hour or two max turned into a whole afternoon between running around for hardware and fixing that mistake. Do yourself a favor and torque to 29-36 ft-lbs like on the FSM if you have an s13. Besides that, it fits great and solved my castor problem. Welds are kind of ugly and a lot of spatter everywhere though. I haven’t done any spirited driving since installing so not sure if there is any handling difference.

At first glance, the paint looked great. Just a tiny bit of splatter marks at the welds. The install was straightforward, but it took a bit of work to get everything to line up correctly. Huge difference in the way the car handles and it even fixed most of my caster issues. Definitely satisfied!

Haven't had a chance to try this on the car yet, but I'm sure it'll get the job done. I've heard good things about these and wanted to polish off the last of my "solid" suspension parts. I'm a little disappointed in the welding job... there's splatter all over. For a legit "Nismo" part, it doesn't have that OEM feel of "High quality" I'm used too. It seems plenty strong though.

Great piece. Bolts up directly. Fixed my caster issue's without having to adjust my tc rods. Recommended highly
