Splitfire DIS-004 Direct Ignition Upgraded Coil Packs S13 S14 SR20DET
Splitfire Super Direct Ignition System improves spark performance on your SR20DET motor. This is a newly developed ignition tuning system designed exclusively for the Nissan SR20DET engine. Splitfire enhances the efficiency of combustion to bring more power and torque. This kit comes with replacement Splitfire coil packs, ignition amplifier, and complete plug and play intermediary ignition harness. Works with both S13 and S14 SR20DET motor.
Note: This kit DOES NOT replace the OEM ignitor chip. You can do this upgrade with the following for best results.
- NGK Racing Iridium Spark Plugs HR6 HR7 HR8+ for SR .030
- New Valve Cover Gasket / Spark Plug Weld Gasket O-ring.
- Check/Replace Timing, Water Temp Sensor, TPS, CAS.
- Boost Controller / Higher Boost Pressure.

I bought this kit when doing a complete build on my SR. I barely reached 3,400 miles on my new engine and one of the coils already went out! I contacted FR sport to see about warranty with Splitfire and was told its considered "off road/track use" so there's no warranty. To top it off they do not have individual coils in stock to sell me anyway. Worst $400 spent. Should've gotten the P2M coil set instead (at least they have a lifetime warranty and are roughly close to same price for replacing 2 stock coils).

Cures misfire and incomplete burn on modified SR engines when the stock system can't handle it. I was able to use a .032 inch gap with copper spark plugs and 18psi with 550cc injectors. The spark is strong and the burn is clean. My stock coils would only hold spark at peak with .025 gaps and it would still blow out unburnt fuel. My SR now runs smother and stronger from idle to redline. My butt dyno can feel the deference.

Super easy to install. Car feels smoother than before (granted I had an OEM one going out). I had to figure out where to put the control module, but ended up putting it under the relay/fuse box (S14) and the wires just reach.

Way too easy to install, great product. You don't need a dyno to tell a difference from stock to these.

Direct plug and Play is right!! Had a car show to go to. Woke up at 8am and was driving by 9! Out with the old and in with the new.

WOW! Looks great and awesome responce. Easy install for any level person. The AMP box is kind of big but I found a great spot by the window wiper motor.

Installation was very easy and my kouki runs smoother and the response is better. Highly recommended!

Like said before, installation was very easy. Improves smoothness of engine at high rpm under boost. You can see the difference on the dyno graph and feel the difference while driving.

Very easy install, plugs right in place. Hardest part is finding a suitable place for the blue amplifier box. Car runs way smoother with these installed.
